Meet Heath

Heath McKenzie is a business consultant and passionate advocate for Australia’s horticulture industry. He serves as a Director of Greenlife Industry Australia and is a former Chair of the Tree and Shrub Growers of Victoria.

Heath is an active contributor to his local community, having served as president of his football club and continuing to volunteer as a junior sports coach.

His political motivation centres on strengthening democracy by ensuring government decisions are made in the public interest, free from inappropriate influence, and guided by evidence, integrity and transparency.

His key policy interests include renewable energy, reducing gambling-related harm, improving support for people with disability and their carers, and ensuring small Australian businesses can remain competitive in an economy increasingly dominated by large corporations and multinationals.

Heath believes that addressing the underlying causes of problems, rather than simply treating their symptoms, is essential to achieving meaningful, lasting reform.
