About the Australian Democrats in Victoria
The Australian Democrats are working to register as a party in Victoria so we can contest the next state election and give voters a sensible, community-focused choice. For decades the Australian Democrats have stood for accountability in government; founded in 1977. The Victorian division is entirely volunteer-run, and our policies are written by members after review of evidence and debate.

Using the marks
Editorial use is welcome and needs no permission. Anything that could read as an endorsement does — just ask.
Please do
- Use the supplied files at their original proportions.
- Give the logo clear space on every side of at least the height of the “A”.
- Pick the black or white mark by background, whichever holds contrast.
- Refer to us as the Australian Democrats, or the Australian Democrats (Victoria).
Please don’t
- Recolour, outline, add effects to or redraw the marks.
- Stretch, squash, rotate or crop them.
- Put the black mark on a dark background, or the white mark on a light one.
- Use the logo in a way that implies we endorse a product, candidate or campaign.
Palette
Brand colours
Democrat Yellow is a highlighter, never a text colour. For coloured type on a light background use Deep Teal or darker so the contrast holds up in print and on screen.
