As a long-term resident of Melbourne’s western suburbs, where I live with my husband and cat, I am standing as an Australian Democrats candidate for the Western Metropolitan Region of the Victorian Legislative Assembly because I believe our community deserves honest, accountable government and a fair share of investment.
I was a member of the Australian Democrats from the 1990s into the early 2000s and proudly rejoined the party earlier this year. I remain committed to its principles of integrity, accountability, evidence based policies and putting people before political interests.
My priorities are strengthening anti-corruption laws, improving transparency in government decision making and securing the infrastructure improvements our rapidly growing western suburbs urgently need. Our communities deserve reliable transport, essential services and infrastructure that keeps pace with population growth.
Through my work in insurance, my role as a workplace union organiser and my committee service with the Victorian Spiritualist Union, I understand the importance of fairness, representation and standing up for others.
I want to help build a fairer, more transparent Victoria and change politics - together.
