When we set out to rebuild the Australian Democrats in Victoria, the first job was simple to say and hard to do: find the members. Registration with the VEC needs 500 Victorians on the electoral roll who are willing to put their name beside ours.
This month we passed our first internal milestone, and the sign-ups keep coming — from Mildura to Mallacoota, from students joining on their phones at the kitchen table to former members coming back after twenty years away.
